What is Nutritional Therapy?

Encouraging the body’s self-healing mechanism

Nutritional therapy is a complementary medicine that draws on evidence-based science to promote health through lifestyle and nutrition and thus encouraging the body’s self-healing mechanism.

Through a detailed consultation, the Nutritional Therapist builds a picture of the client’s unique needs. They connect all body systems and see the client as a whole to then design a tailor-made plan to reach the client’s goals.

This personalised plan helps the client to create new habits, understand their body and its needs to promote balance and optimal wellbeing. It is a process that needs dedication and time as well as a harmonious, trusting partnership between client and therapist.

When necessary, the Nutritional Therapist will work along with medical professionals and other complementary therapists to best support the client.

Nutritional therapy supports individuals with:

  • autoimmune conditions

  • cardiovascular health

  • persistent digestive issues

  • women’ health issues such as menopause and PMS, cycle irregularities.

  • hormonal imbalance

  • pre-diabetes and diabetes

  • stress and fatigue

  • and also general wellbeing.

What is health?

A state of complete physical, mental and social
well being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.
